Self on bass, local Nottingham guitar hero Mick Brittle (Nottingham) on guitar. Mick had been a friend for several years but I haven't seen him since the early 1980s. Apparently there was once a web-page in his honour, see... nottstalgia.com This was one of several 30 year old cassette tapes I found in 2012 which were in extremely poor condition and which have spent some time in freezing conditions outside in a damp shed. The sound quality is very poor due to these reasons and may suffer from wow/flutter/drop-outs etc. Uploaded as this is part of Nottingham's Rock History. Recorded direct to PC from an extremely battered old Sony Walkman (with a dodgy drive belt which came off several times). Sorry I no longer have a cassette deck.Software used was Audacity (freeware). If you think the quality sucks then tough. I recorded these tapes and I own the copyright ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Source:youtube Added:05/03/12 6 views ![]() ![]() Track 1 - The Mick Brittle Experience (MBJ Band) - Jam Session - Tiffany's Club 1981 Track 1 - The Mick Brittle Experience (MBJ Band) - Jam Session - Tiffany's Club 1981 The Mick Brittle Experience (MBJ Band) - Recorded from an informal jam session at Tiffany's Night Club one Sunday afternoon in 1981. It was the second-to-last performance of Roy's life, and has never been released in public. It was very LOUD (which is good because people don't talk so much around the condenser microphones) and the recordist stood near the FOH and monitor speakers and got a good mix. His band was excellent, the recording with just a touch of distortion, and Roy's playing... this recording is an important document in his discography. Originally recorded on a Sony Professional Walkman and transfered to a Tascam DP-02 digital 8-track. It is a low bit rate conversion but is pretty decent for a live recording. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Source:youtube Added:03/13/12 6 views ![]() ![]() Roy Buchanan - Purple Haze (Track 6, Club Soda, Montréal, 1988) Roy Buchanan - Purple Haze (Track 6, Club Soda, Montréal, 1988) This is from a personal recording made in 1988 in Club Soda in Montreal.
