Thank you, Sony for consistency over time. No rewiring for the new plug, just unplugged the old stereo, slid it out of the dash, slid the new one in and plugged everything back in.This stereo has all the granularity of control I could ask for, as far as configuring sound, and a new (at least to me) "position" configuration to optimize the sound for the occupants in the car. Since I normally drive alone in my car, I set it for "front/left" position and it does make a difference. I like options.One small "con" is that the "Dimmer" function only dims the LCD display screen, not the (really bright) blue LED lights on the front of the stereo. I could change their color to red at night to alleviate this, but the rest of my interior lights are blue, so I don't want to do so.
